Copy the tool to your client m/c..
Make sure that the Requester has been started before starting the SMBTOOL.

1.Run SMBTOOL from a os2 window.
2.Go to menu Trace-> Redirector->on.
3.Click on OK.
4.Enter the file name in which you want to save the trace and click OK.
5.After the problem is reacreated go to Trace-> Redirector->off.

Now the trace is saved in the file you had mentioned in step4.


